Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Corn Exchange Inn
Friendly locals pub in the fairly built-up area of Gilwern. This was quite a contrast to the remote pubs we had visited earlier in the day, but was good in its own right.
There is a single l-shaped bar, with bench seating at the front of the pub and another outdoor seating area across the road and adjacent to the pub car park.
Language in the bar was a bit fruity. However, the barmaid was really friendly and invited my son to try a puzzle she fetched from another room.
The 2 real ales were Felinfoel Double Dragon & Brecon IPA, whilst they also had Weston's Old Rosie cider. I thought it was rude not to indulge in the cider.
A pub that does not look much from the outside, but is very welcoming to passers by.
