Three ales: Evan Evans (good nick), Double Dragon and Wickwar Long John Silver. The CAMRA website implies that the Double Dragon (at least) is keg sold through a handpump but certainly the EE was the real stuff as far as I could tell. Two rooms, right hand side set for dining (was empty) and we were ushered out into the bar area. Decor in here so-so, unusual 60's wooden banquettes worth noting. Punter entertainment came from a dart board and footer on the telly with the FA cup showing. The pies for seven quid caught our eye, especially the one entitled ‘Game pie (bird and beast)’. Worth looking in for a quick beer but I wouldn’t linger much longer if you’re exploring.
