This is a detached pub, with a patio area. The pub is certainly Victorian, but looks Georgian in style. It is a cottage styled place, exectuted in stone, with the upper facade being in a yellow render. There are three sash windows on the upper and two on the lower that flank the entrance. There is some rustication around the door. The interior has a small room, with one side being a bar and the other seeminglt for food. The bar bit is in stone with coffee plaster, white ceiling and wood floor; the other side is in red, with foody tables and bistro art. The bar has bench seating and a few old photos on the walls. There is a pool table and a dart board, and the TV had the cricket on. The service was friendly and there was a friendly feel to the place - a few locals being in. There was no music. Beer; usual tap stuff with a decent enough Brains Dark. Doombar was on the solitary handpull. Not a lot for the real ale fan, but a pleasant enough place - could do a lot worse.

Very close to the new shopping development, this pub has been much modernised inside with laminate timber floor with matching light labelled areas to the lower Walls and broken stone and plaster upper Walls which does actually work out very well giving an interesting decor without being messy. There is a sign saying 'waste not want not' as the only clue to the direction of the toilets! A very convivial crowd in here which adds to the attraction of this place. There was Wychwood Hobgoblin on together with a cider on hand pull.
