Visited my son and we called in for Sunday Lunch. We didnt book and were delighted that we were seated almost straight away, even though the pub was full.
We chose the carvery option and I have to say the food was exceptional. Lovely fresh homecooked meat and a great selection of veggies.....the cauliflower cheese and the creamed leek are to die for, apart from the carrot, swede, parsnip, roast and new potato's etc........
The service was excellent and the host was friendly and congenial, made us feel right at home
It was well worth the 45 mile trip and we will definately be calling in again
This is a place that we highly recommend
