Slightly up-market rebuild of village inn. Has several rooms arranged round a smallish bar, but mostly laid up for dining, with lots of dark wood and beams making quite a good atmosphere. Quite tolerable for a few pints also; beer on offer at time of visit was Copper Dragon and very drinkable. Not open all day however, and check food serving times if wanting to eat. Also beware awkward entrance to car park!

A real surprise! From the road The Star really doesn't look much at all, but when you pull into the Car park you'll find a small but nice Beer Garden to sit in. But the real surprise is the inside of the pub, the pub has obviously been revamped and caters for fine dining more than being a locals boozer.
We went for sunday dinner and had a fantastic meal - a lovely starter of asparagus with a lovely poached egg on top was simple but delicious, and was followed by a fantastic roast beef dinner with all the trimmings.
All in all an excellent little pub serving local produce fantastically!
