Although it has three pulls on the face of the L Shaped counter facing you as you enter one was unclipped and the others had reversed clips for Thwaites IPA and Gold, I settled for half a mass market lager from one of the three T-bars. Anyway, a square interior to a double fronted building, formed of one large but sub-divided room, the L shaped counter is in the rear left corner with booth seating opposite; each with a mini-screen, and there’s a further extension off to the rear right by a door to the rear covered garden. Along the front wall are two seating areas with banquettes at wooden tables. Lavs at the back left on the way to a games room with machines, darts and a pool table. The main bar also has a gaming machine, laminate floors and original if boring iron columns.

Friendly and comfortable Thwaites pub on main street. Interior opened out but still distinct areas, including pool table at rear and sports tv in middle, but not intrusive. Thwaites beers only, with Original and Wainwight on handpump and very drinkable too (Cask Marque). Also good range of well-priced food, although not sampled. Recommended.
