The Station, Stockton-On-Tees

A big old pub modernised with a nightclub-like interior - lots of dark paint and a few splashes of neon. The layout is a bit of a jumble, with dividing walls where you don't expect them. and there are numerous TV screens, several dartboards and a couple of pool tables. The odd bit of frosted glass and a nice bar back hint at what might have been once. The bar at the rear had some polished copper fonts with a selection of mainstream stuff, with a couple of taps dispensing McEwans 80/- which I was surprised to find they were serving as bankers. Note there is 50p off pints on Wednesdays! A decent sort of pub with friendly locals, just missing a couple of good ales.
