Will Larter left this review about The Staffordshire Arms
At first glance, a rough-looking corner pub in one of the roughest-looking streets in Sheffield, but inside it's a very friendly place, though very basic. There's a small bar in the corner, with a little space for drinkers in front, and the main room to the left. Behind the bar is a small snug, with comfortable bench seating, a couple of tables and plain white walls. No real ale here, but the Stones was all right. There was a small after-work crowd and a couple of fishermen back from an unsuccessful day on the canal, and the pub had a convivial atmosphere although conversation was occasionally drowned out by the quiz programme on the large TV at the end of the main room (we declined the offer of having the TV in the snug switched on for us). The lack of a real ale means I wouldn't make a special effort to come back here, but if, like today, someone suggested popping in for a beer when we're just around the corner, I wouldn't say no.
