A desperation stop to drop some liquid ballast as I’d arrived at Interchange earlier than anticipated. Entered via the tradesman’s to a 50’s disco – you don’t see those very often – and a clientele that matched. Grabbed a courtesy half Original from a pair of Thwaites pumps which was surprisingly good (NBSS 3.5).

This very old building looks great against the background of modern office blocks that will almost certainly be gone long before this one is. The 15th century part is quite small, the bulk of the building being 19th or early 20th, with an even more modern extension for the entrance and the toilets. Just Thwaites beers on at the time of my recent visit - I'm not sure they serve guest beers any more. My half of their "English IPA" was in very good condition (NBSS 3.5 but without feeling like drinking it again any time soon) and a pretty decent £4.30/pint.

This building dates from 1475 and has three ghosts, one of which is a dog. Located around the back of the bus station and I think it's worth a visit, especially to marvel at the dining room and the beer quality was very good. Four beers from Thwaites and two guest beers on our visit. The two guest on this occasion were Ossett Silver King and Yorkshire Blonde.
