The pub is very much as I remember and described in 2014. Two banks of hand pumps, with two to the left of a pillar being the regular Moonshine and Daily Bread from nearby Abbeydale Brewery. The four to the right had three more from the same source when I entered just after 4pm opening on a Sunday, but one failed to disgorged anything and the next tried, a seasonal called Hibernation, soon proved to be "bottom of barrel" and was replaced on request. The Moonshine was as good as it gets - though still not a beer I can enthuse about, so I'm going with NBSS 4) - and the place soon started to fill up. There's a seriously good sound system, sufficiently bassy to make it tolerable despite my tinnitus, and the selections being randomly played were enjoyable despite being unrecognisable. I like it here, but 4pm opening (2pm Friday and Saturday) is not something I'm going to take up with enthusiasm at my age. (I'm more likely to leave a pub at 4pm!) I'll probably call in again though, combined with others in the area.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cremorne
From the look of the place it was no surprise to find a plaque on the floor confirming that this was once a Tetley's Festival Ale House, but the origin of the unusual name and hot-air balloon illustrated on the pub sign remains obscure (with post-visit research suggesting these were launched from Cremorne Gardens in Chelsea during Victorian times, but any Sheffield connection remains unclear...). Anyway, there was a good selection of six real ales - including Blue Bee Citra Session, Pictish Aurora, First Chop's Ava and the regular Kelham island Bitter - plus Lilley's Crazy Goat cider from seven on the eight handpumps to be found on various parts of the elongated counter. Other than a slight reservation because my beer was served a little on the warm side, this one is worth a visit if in the area.

A surprisingly long bar with a multitude of hand pumps, considering this is quite a small pub. There is a further room at a lower level, which is used for DJ evenings and live music, and there's a courtyard behind. There's a slightly scruffy and relaxed feel about the place, and surprisingly the windows onto the street, where a bus stop is situated, are open to view, with no frosted glass.
On the bar at the time of my recent visit were eight real ales and two ciders. There's an interesting and changeable selection of mostly local ales and although the bar staff do not appear to be particularly knowledgeable about beer, they provide a friendly welcome and the atmosphere is generally pleasant. There's a discount for Camra members, but only until 6pm each day. This is the only pub in this part of town that is worth a visit just for the beer.
