ROB Camra left this review about The Black Swan
A multi roomed pub with lots of bare brick walls. A bit dark on our Sunday late afternoon visit. The barfood appears to be mainly pizza, at least that's what everyone sat near us was eating. Only one guy on the bar and a bit of a queue, the other servong staff just seemed to be wandering about aimlessly. Only 2 handpumps on the bar and only one of those was in use serving Ilkley Mary Jane, which is not the most interesting of beers. The other half liked her red wine though. It's OK for one, but it'll be a while before we call in again with all the great bars / pubs in Leeds in competition.

Old Boots left this review about The Black Swan
A counter laden with cask and craft keg choices, complete with gently bobbing barmaids, auto soap dispensers and Dyson airblades in the gents. The multi-room set up includes a bar, a dining room and a sitting room decorated with movie film cans, shoemakers lasts and miscellaneous patterns for casting iron goods. It just lacks a certain something I can't quite define.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Black Swan
The Black Swan was my final pub on my pub crawl.
The pub is housed in an old building on call lane where there are lots of bars.
Once inside there is a decent sized room with the bar to the front left, there is a small room to the front right, the seating in the main area is a mix of normal tables and chairs and a few tall ones, there is an open kitchen to the rear,so food seems to a big draw here.
I had a drink of Kirkstall Three Swords which went down well, there may have been other beers on the bar,but this was my last pub and things were slightly fuzzy.
I would happily visit this pub again if up in Leeds for the day with my wife.
