Old Boots left this review about The Whistle Stop
A classic estate pub not flat roofed but a reasonable one of the breed. Roughly an L shape with the counter in the inside angle, here as expected you find four horseshoes and three solos with a sumptuous range of the nation’s favourites. Nicely carpeted and furnished, all looking fairly new and matching the light brown and light khaki colour scheme, the wallpaper is leafy green. Lots of screens and machines and through to the right at the back is another comfy seating area with a pool table. The only thing I didn’t care for, apart from the lack of cask, was the canned music. Otherwise a nice friendly pub catering for its regulars pretty well.
