Old Boots left this review about New Travellers Rest
Almost marooned beside a major roundabout on the Leeds Ring Road in Cross Gates, it’s a thirties style building. The interior is basically semi circular with raised areas around the edges, the counter occupying most of one rear wall. It has two unused hand pumps and a selection of national keg favourites. Renovated about six years ago (2018) it’s still in good decorative order, corporate ads vie with the normal old photos to adorn the walls. One corner is dedicated to “sport” and has pool and darts and some LUFC photos, there are the usual screens and machines elsewhere, naturally the music is constant. Typically Craft Union old bloke punters on my Friday afternoon visit.
