Perfect place to sample the full range of Timothy Taylor ales. There was an amusing sign on the bar about Sparklers which I posted on a Great British Pubs Facebook Page. My god, did that cause some arguments. Less than a week on, and the battle is still rumbling.
Very quiet on a Monday night. Large open plan room, with sturdy tables and bench seating around the outside.
Of course, My Landlord Dark was in fine condition.
Facebook told me the prices were very high here. And I should ensure that I have unsparkled beer for quantity purposes.

A Timothy Taylor house opposite the very impressive Town Hall,it's quite a basic boozer once through the front door with the bar at the rear left and two seating areas below the two front windows.Not much decoration,functional but lacking charm.
The 6 handpumps were drawing TT Landlord,Landlord Dark,Dark Mild,Golden Best ,Boltmaker and Knowle Spring (NBSS 4) so no complaints on that score and this is a good place to sample their wares.In the 2024 GBG so include on any real ale crawl of the city centre.

The Town Hall Tavern is a Timothy Taylors pub that had seven of their cask beers available during a recent Friday evening visit. Premium keg was also available, but I went for the Knowle Spring which was decent enough. The bar counter is along the left-hand wall and adjacent is a small kitchenette used to put together the advertised pub grub. There’s parquet flooring throughout and the focal point of the pub is a large centrally located copper topped high table. The service was polite, but I was the only customer, which isn’t great for a Friday night.
