This is a typically comfortable and well-presented Sam Smiths pub. I gathered from conversations elsewhere on my crawl of Stockton that this area was derelict until being done up recently, and it is not certain that the present pub is on the site of an original pub, although the square behind it is called Green Dragon Yard. There's a maze of rooms leading off a central bar, which has no real ale but the usual Sam Smiths selection including keg Old Brewery Bitter, and stout. My half of stout set me back all of £1.10. (The toilets up some steps past the dartboard.)

Sam Smiths locals pub that although quite central is slightly difficult to find.Called in around 12 15 on a weekday where quite a few old timers were taking advantage of the cheap beer
