The New Inn is definitely my kind of pub. It is bigger than it looks from the outside. There is a small bar on the left as you enter, with further drinking area to the right. There also appeared to be a garden area at the rear, which I did not venture out to.
We chose to sit in the bar, where there are low beamed ceilings and old pictures of the pub and the village of Barwick In Elmet.
3 real ales were on - Wychwood Hobgoblin Gold, Timothy Taylor Boltmaker & Moorhouse's White Witch. I had the latter, which was in good condition.
The young barmaids were friendly and welcoming. It's rare that I give a pub with no dark real ales or real ciders a 7/10, but I did enjoy my visit here and would be happy if this was my local.

This is a gem of a Tradition pub with good old traditional values. Good beers, along with excellent food, friendly staff, and a gem of a Ladlady. Look out for their Special dining evenings! Beware you will probably have to book. Tucked away in the lovely village of Barwick in Elmet its most certainly one not to be missed. If you decide to go as I did you will definatly want to call back.
