A big open plan establishment but due to wall removal an odd shape internally, maybe best described as a crooked Z. A Greene King place it seems mostly drinking rather than food, the punters appeared to be locals and their families. The preferred entrance is from the side car park next to a skew railway bridge on a Z shaped road, good luck getting in and out of there in a car. I entered via the front once I was pointed at the correct gate in the short front fence. I then spotted the counter, it’s L shaped, to my left. A forest of trio T-bars confronted me but there are two hand pumps, one clip reversed (a Taylors beer) and a Greene King badge engineered beer which didn’t taste like GK and was a drinkable if ordinary light bitter, it goes under the name 4-4-Brew and is 4%. Basic modern pub internally, fairly undistinguished architecturally exterior. There’s a conservatory to the right and a newer extension on the rear left which are used as dining / sitting areas. Ticks the three boxes for screens, machines, and piped music of course. I ordered a half and got a pint from a cloth eared barmaid and it was served in a Guinness glass, ah well, sadly I had to leave before the Rock and Roll bingo started. One for the locals.
