This is one of the oldest pubs in Horsforth and the building dates from the early 18th Century. Now a sports bar where a lot of the internal characteristics have vanished. The now opened up main room hosts a large central oval shaped bar area, which is finished to a high standard. Unsurprisingly there are a good few large screens around the place. There was a couple of side rooms on the left and these hosted some very professional dartboards with all the digital consoles for tallying up your score.
There was also a good sized patio garden at the rear. Wainwright Amber Gold and Amber on handpump.

Looking like a traditional small town local, this place has been massively enlarged internally, extending into the building next door and having a glazed extension to the rear where the pool table is situated. Entirely devoid of any character, this could be any sports bar in the centre of Leeds, with Sky Sports on wall-mounted screens at regular intervals. A couple of real ales: Tetleys and Saltaire Blonde. My half of Tetleys was distinctly tired but not complainably so.
