Looking like a traditional small town local, this place has been massively enlarged internally, extending into the building next door and having a glazed extension to the rear where the pool table is situated. Entirely devoid of any character, this could be any sports bar in the centre of Leeds, with Sky Sports on wall-mounted screens at regular intervals. A couple of real ales: Tetleys and Saltaire Blonde. My half of Tetleys was distinctly tired but not complainably so.

Internally open plan and modernised but some old features remain, bits of bright green lincrusta, a nice horseshoe counter and some old fashioned pulls with high swan necks, they also have them in the nearby Toby Carvery. The wall paper is made to look like exposed brick (!) and there are various raised areas with balustrades. Purple ceiling beams set of the bright green lincrusta and tongue and groove. There are lots of pictures of sports people, popstars, musicians and a couple of politicans. One alcove has a massive screen and there are smaller ones dotted about the place, the PA system carries the TV sound to all parts so you can't escape it. Another alcove has apool table and is decorated with US license plates. Usual kegs plus Tetley cask and fairly dire Landlord, chavvy punters but the service was good.
