Requested be closed with reason - Gone away: There used to be a pub in Reed St, Thornaby called the Blue Lion, it was also known as Becks Ale House. That pub was demolished. A new pub was built in Tedder Avenue called the New Blue Lion. It may or may not have been called Becks Ale House, a number of inferior pub sites seem to think so. In 2005 Punch got planning permission to demolish the former New Blue Lion public house and replace with 34 houses. By 2008 the Council noted they hadn't been built yet. There are no pubs in Tedder Avenue, although there are two clubs.
