Old Boots left this review about The Beech
A sumptuous art deco local pub with a largely unspoiled plain interior. There are three rooms the main bar on the corner has the major servery, three unused pulls plus a selection of national boring kegs forming the drinks choice. Behind is a large room with two pool tables and between is a smaller snug, both of these served by a hatch with two more unused pulls. Banquette seating throughout and nice tiled floors, the windows could be original too, also the counters look very original. Piped music and screens are concessions to the modern times. In spite of the massed arses of bar blockers it’s worth a visit for the heritage aspect.
