Moby Duck left this review about Adelphi
A heritage pub with several comfortable rooms featuring dark wood and etched glass. Four beers on , Leeds Pale, Landlord, Black Sheep Bitter and Kirkstall Three Swords. A very nice looking pub with decent beer, well worth the visit.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Adelphi
Very characterful interior, with many historic features in the multi-room layout including a corridor servery in addition to the main bar. Patio seating area out front. On this first revisit for 12 years, we found at least three of the various handpumps in operation, offering Landlord, Leeds Pale and Kirkstall Three Swords. Still worth the short walk out from the city centre, and thankfully a better experience than last time all round.

After my disappointing visit in 2018 I gave this one a swerve until a recent research trip meant that it made sense to call in here on the way from the Kirkgate trio of Duck & Drake, Lamb & Flag and Palace to the newly opened Tetley just up Hunslet Road. The pub is stunningly beautiful and seems well looked after, and although I only had one beer while I was here, this was the best out of four goes at Leeds Best on the day (NBSS 3.5). There's a 20% discount on some beers on Tuesdays, which was applied to my beer without me having to ask, bringing the price of my half down to a very nice £2. I'll be less shy about returning in future.
