Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about West Midland Tavern

Old-school local, with an entirely male clientele as far as I could see, but the age-range was broader than one might expect. The front bar area is simply but traditionally furnished and decorated, and the rear pool / darts area is plainer still. The counter is dominated by shiny keg taps - including Brew XI, Worthington's and Banks's Original - but Doom Bar (as good as it gets, and just £2.60) was also available from one of the brace of handpumps.
