Black Country Ales pub a short walk from the town centre and well worth seeking out. A long narrow interior serving 7 real ales plus 2 coming soon and 3 ciders during my visit.

BCA do their thing and bring a pub back from the dead. A very typical make over from them. Felt like a home from home. I swear they use the same sign writer in every pub. This one writing about their 15(!) real ales and two real ciders. I had a Bee Sting Perry on hand pull and fell in love.

I assume the Saracen's Head was an old coaching inn. Rooms are accessed from a side passage. The front bar was reserved for locals, which seemed to be a temporary measure as a Covid-19 precaution.

For outsiders, there is an outside bar and another indoor room at the rear. The ale selection was seemingly limited to Butty Bach & HPA, with Black Rat cider also available. We availed ourselves of some rolls, which were excellent value at £1 each.

I quite liked this place. But there is scope for improvement in the ale range.
