Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Postal Order (JD Wetherspoon)
This wasn't the biggest branch of Wetherspoon's that I've been in, but it was already very busy on our Saturday morning visit, with a large group meeting at the far end.
Whilst queueing for the bar, we were shouted out by the manageress. Apparently we were standing in the wrong position and we were told to follow instructions that were positioned somewhere the entrance. That wasn't the best of starts.
Greene King Abbot, Ruddles Best & Sharp's Doom Bar were the regular ale. They then had 5 guests - Brakspear Oxford Gold, Thwaite's Wainwright, Daleside Old Legover, North Cotswold Shagweaver & Goff's Black Knight. I was hoping for a local real cider. But only Thistly Cross Whisky Cask was on offer.
It's an easy place to head to from Foregate Station, but compared with other pubs in the city, it was distinctly average.

Very busy and very noisy spoons , beer choice not great 3 pulls unclipped and of the other 9 , 6 were doubled up with Abbott , Ruddles and Doombar , other beers were Lymestone Einstein , North Cotswold Shagweaver and a ropey Blindmans Icarus .
