Food led, country pub. Positives - very welcoming hosts - attentive and chatty. Bravo, it doesnt take much but makes a world of difference. The food menus looked good, everyone else was dining and seemingly regulars - down to ordering their usual dishes.
Negatives - one cask Wye Valley HPA - a beer I know well and love. This didn't have the pin sharpness and was definitely on the turn. I should have trusted my instincts, as looking round, no one else in the room was on cask. I will ask for samples in the future. Its too much of a risk.

Recently refurbished to extremely high standard.
Food a speciality, with extensive menu, and friendly,local staff.
Well stocked bar, and well recommended for a good evening out.
