An included venue on the Sep/Oct '26 Visit Worcestershire promotion for "Heritage on Tap". Otherwise, I would never have thought of attending this posh hotel, which is open to non-residents.

The real selling point is the gardens/patio - which is a delight on a summers day. Lots of tables, parasols and space with fine views over the river.

Inside, its a fairly non descript hotel bar - with high stools next to circular tables.

Beer range was interesting - by volume, rather than selection. Four cask on - Wye Valley HPA and Butty Bach and TT Landlord and Boltmaker. No need for such similar beers on, and judging by the fact I was the only patron who had a beer (an average bolt maker) they would be better having half the options.

Over £6 a pint (expected) but you can read the complementary Times. Which "saves" you £3.20. Get in early and you can do the Sudoku's too.

This hotel bar is available to non residents in theory from 7am until 10pm but not thereafter. The bar is in a central room with just a few small tables and bar stools but if the overflow dining room is free you could slip in there but not if tables are laid for the next food service.A major attaction in good weather is the outside terrace through a side door with great views of the Severn and river traffic, again part of which is available to non residents.
Two handpumps but the Xmas ale had run out leaving just Belhaven 80/-,(Tired ,NBSS 2).
The hotel is quite smart yet friendly but this is not the kind of place to base youself for a session.A quite beer outside in good weather might be the best option.
