Really odd pub.... certainly doesnt try an woo customers in with its produce, but as the review below states, maybe he knows what his customers like.
No cask. No decent keg.... carling, some sort of smoothflow, I stopped looking. Maybe a Guinness. A couple of keg ciders but I didnt notice anything interesting.
I ended up with a bottle of Holsten Pills.... a drink last consumed in the last century.
A few locals and the horse racing on.

I really liked the look of this bar, with its classy frontage and the hanging sign that looks like it was picked up in a sale of bric a brac, but has more likely been hanging here without a lick of fresh paint for over 50 years, advertising as it does Bass, Courage and local farmhouse ciders. Inside too it has that feel of a well loved and well used facility, the only downside being that there's no real ale. The owner said he had tried to introduce the real stuff a few times but the regulars like their creamflow, he said. Not to mention Guinness (he had not lost his Irish accent in all his years in Worcestershire). He said what about a cider then? And gave me a taster, which fizzed alarmingly when he poured it from the polypin behind the bar. I had a taste, but even if it hadn't been pretty revolting I didn't fancy drinking something at 6% abv with still 20 miles to cycle before the end of the day. (If it was really still only 6%, that is.) I regretfully left with a cheers but no thanks.
