A lovely stone build with hipped roof with a large rear extension and beer garden. Inside is a nesting of rooms around a central island bar. There is a dining area, a games are with Pool and Darts, and a bar area. Didnt eat, but they do a really good meaty cob on a Sunday. Clientele seemed to be locals and the service was very good. No TV that I saw and the occasional song came on the jukebox. A couple of ales - HPA and a pretty good Tim Taylor Landlord. Pleasant stop off.

Popular traditional village pub which is well described by Ian below.
2 ales on when I called - HPA and Landlord. My Landlord was fine.
Sat on a bench out the front and enjoyed the peace and quiet. If I could walk it here I'd be a regular! Well worth a visit.

Old School community pub. Central bar, with pool room. Opposite side is more setup for dining, although they are only providing Sunday lunch. Lived in look that could be from any era in the last 50 years.
Beer quality was excellent - guess its a free house, as they had Butcombe Gold and HPA today, with three different breweries coming on the "next on" list on the bar. Butcombe gold excellent.
Thursday night visit and good to see the place busy with all ages, including crib team and youth on the pool table.
