Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bulls Head
Traditional Banks's pub with a plain lounge at the front and a larger and oddly better furnished public bar / dining area stretching back on the right-hand side. It does offer a simple burger and pub-grub menu (but all seemed a bit chaotic in the kitchen so perhaps the regular staff were off?). Anyway, I got my mid-walk evening meal in the end, along with a pint of Wainwright from one of the three handpumps at just £2.70 on a Tuesday evening offer.

A Victorian pub, at least. Small Patio area. The interior has a couple of rooms in what seemed to be white and wood panel. The larger room had a stage area, but I could only see through. The smaller room I was in had a pool table and dart board, no TV or music, and just a couple of people in (compared to the fairly busy Eagle over the road. The service was fine. One real ale - basic Banks's Bitter, which was OK for a swift half at least. Sadly, dull - you would go to the Eagle for beer choice alone. I can't comment on other comparisons.
