Situated in the down-at-heel area of town over the bridge. WhatPub couldn't decide whether there was cask or not so I decided to go look. The answer is no, so had a half of Guinness. Old skool interior, knocked into a C shape with the ghosts of refurbs past clearly obvious. Seating is a set of pleasing wooden benches which stretch round the perimeter. Barmaid on chores but self-aware enough to switch over the music channel when I arrived to something more befitting the clientele. Amusement value from the hearth centrepiece mobility scooter which apparently the kids jump on and pretend they are driving a tractor.

The Swan is a corner pub that is just away from the town centre.
Once inside there were a couple of smallish rooms and i had a drink in the bar which was decent enough,the pub was a Whitbread tied house but there were no real ales on here,i had a drink of keg Flowers bitter and this was a very poor drink.
