Traditional side-street local, but handy for the station. Located slightly above the adjoining road, there is just about room for a narrow front terrace. Once inside, you find two separate rooms, more of a public bar to the right and more of a lounge to the left. Further outdoor seating can be found in the rear yard. As a Marston's house, a duplicated selection of Banks's Mild (£3.05) and Amber, Wainwright and Hobgoblin Gold were available from the various handpumps on each counter.

Very handy for the station and well described by Ray below. Still a decent pub with four ales on - Banks Amber, Original, Hobgoblin Gold and Wainwrights. We had the latter which was excellent.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Riflemans Arms
A two roomed Marstons house, situated on a residential side street across from the station. The pub consisted of a traditional lounge on the left and a bar on the right, with two screens showing sky sports. The central bar served both rooms and each room was accessible via a rear corridor. There were four ales on handpump serving Banks bitter, Banks Mild, Brakspear Oxford Gold and Ringwood Boondoggle. A decent pub and well worth a visit.
