Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Queens Head
Originally a traditional pub beside the Worcester & Birmingham Canal but now more of a dining establishment mostly housed in a substantial single-storey modern extension. As a result, there is little to stay about the main seating / dining areas but the terrace beside the waterway is certainly a pleasant spot on a fine summer evening. Wye Valley HPA (£3.90) and Butty Bach plus Doom Bar and Purity Mad Goose available from a total of five handpumps on the 'L'-shaped servery.

This is definitely focused on food with most of the interior being laid out for dining, having said that, the bar area is very distinct and plenty are welcomed to come and drink there so you don't feel as though you should be eating.
We did eat and were very happy with what we had, not fancy but well done, fresh and reasonable value.
The staff were all delightful, if a little ditzy in some cases and pleasing to the eye.
Two beers were on, both local, Weatheroak Victorian Works, which was excellent and Wye Valley HPA. Both well kept and served.
A good spot for an ale or some food overlooking the canal.

A great location in quiet countryside right next to the Worcester and Birmingham Canal and at the foot of the 30 lock Tardebigge flight,the pub is popular with boater and all manner of car borne customers,it was certainly busy early evening.
From the main entrance by the car park,the bar is behind some pillars to the right ,while the wooden floored restaurant area is to the left and extends into a long room which terminates in a conservatory,so lots of people can be accomodated. As you walk around the bar area which is delineated by a modern stone floor,there is a lounge with square poof and settee seating and a charming small canalside terrace below the bridge abutments.Despite the gastro makeover twigs and all,folk do come in here just to drink and there was a good mixed atmosphere on our visit.
Listed in the 2011 GBG ,I enjoyed the well kept beer drawn from local microbreweries.
Although the pub could pass as a Vintage Inns,it is infact family run and we ate from the traditional British menu ,the food well cooked and portion size was acceptable to a hungry crew.
The all female serving team were charming,friendly and due to a bit of staff shortage wonderfully haphazard but done with enough style to actually enhance the dining experience.
I rolled out much lighter of pocket(we did hammer the pricey wine list) but fully satisfied. I will definitely return on my travels.
