A few minutes walk up a gentle hill out of town, this is a lovely traditional and homely sub-divided freehouse (two bars) with a proud long-standing matriarch and friendly locals. Three local cask on, my Bathams Bitter didn’t last long (NBSS 3.5). Home-made cobs available and partaken, they were so popular that the kitchen lady brought-out two extra rounds during our 45 minutes. I’d be well-chuffed to have this as my local and it is absolutely worth the walk to do, enjoy it whilst it remains in this ownership. 8.5

Now officially my "local" as I have moved just up the road! Always a friendly welcome and always popular.
It has Batham's Bitter and Ludlow Gold on permanently plus a couple of guests so all good on the beer front! Plenty outdoor seating and live footie on the TV.
The pub also gets involved in many local community projects and events.
Well worth a visit.

A lovely looking triple fronted cottage pub with patio and beer garden areas. Technically open plan, with a small corner serving bar, there is a bar room to the right (with dartboard) on entry, with a larger lounge to the left - with an area more for dining. Tastefully decorated with traditional pictures, there was no music and a TV not on. Service was great, with a mature clientele. A good free House mix of Ludlow Gold, Butty Bach and Bewdley's 2857, there was also a superb Batham's Bitter. A must do.
