Now my local Spoons. I call in here quite often. Usually a pretty good selection of ales. During my last visit I tried Wolf Brewery Tasmanian Wolf, Loch Lomond Bonnie n' Blonde and Hadrian Border brewery Secret Kingdom. All were fine.
The building itself is a rambling old coaching inn. It is also a hotel.
There is quite a lot of outdoor seating. All in all a pretty good Spoons!

Nice old place and we discovered the enclosed side courtyard which was a pleasant place to breakfast. I think there’s been a light refurb since I was last here. Started a day’s crawling in Bewdley with a 10.30am pint of Orkney Clootie which was pretty good (NBSS 3.5). Score upgrade in order.

A characterful JDW hotel in an aged C.17th building. A rambling interior with a covered side courtyard that catches the sunshine. Usual JDW fixtures and fittings that blended in pretty well, plenty of wood panelling to enhance the agedness of the building. A bit of a mish-mash on the ale front, with some off (a perennial issue here by the looks of the reviews below and elsewhere). My Black Cat Reserve was so-so but I suspect it was probably the fag-end of the barrel. Worth taking in. Rated 6

Popped in for a quick lunch on a wet Monday. The place was quite busy but the service was good. The food was reasonable. I spotted Woods Shropshire Lad, Purity Ubu and Exmoor Gold amongst the usual suspects. My pint of Shropshire Lad was fine. Not a bad Spoons.
