Whilst the interior remains gorgeous, it’s not as good now as I found back in 2014 – it’s a foody operation and we got politely chaperoned to a drinker’s table out of the way in a corner. On the plus side, the ale selection was decent and halves of the Bewdley Sunshine (NBSS 4) and Bah Humbug (NSS 3.5) were quaffed with little effort. 7.5

This a wonderful traditional pub, bits of which date from the 15th century. Interesting dark wood (oak?) bar top with old wooden barrel staves pleasingly making up the curved bar frontage. Cosy interior with beams and a real fire. Three ales; Holdens Special, Bewdley Worcestershire Way and Bewdley Bah Humbug (a proper winter warmer in good nick). Could have done a session in here easily. Another top pub in a town that boasts more than its fair share of better boozers. Rated 9

Lovely old boozer. The oldest pub in the town centre. My first visit for about 20 years but not my last! 2 ales on when I called - HPA and Bewdley Worcestershire Way. I went for the Bewdley which was fine.
Well worth a visit.

A low-level terraced pub that enticed me in simply by its looks. The interior is effectively an open L-shape, with a dining area, in a beam and daub style. The serving bar seemed to use old barrel staves in its construction and there are nice bench seats. The TV was not on and the music soft. Some olde world pictures top it off. The service was good and the clientele more mature. Three pumps but only one one (it was a Sunday), which dispensed a good Bewdly Worcestershire Way. Pleased I visited.
