A thatched 16th Century country pub with a pleasant garden and an easy-to-miss car park. Inside there are flagstones, low beams and an inglenook with a woodburner. There is a small extension on one side which is used as a dining area. They offer excellent food cooked from local produce, and there is a special offer for staff from the nearby Odstock Hospital on Mondays. Three taps on the bar, but there was only one ale on, Doombar, which was in perfect condition. Well worth coming out to for any reason.
