The Green Dragon is a 14th Century village pub curently owned by Hall and Woodhouse, reputedly a haunt of Charles Dickens at one point. There is a large lounge with inglenook and a separate public bar and dining area in a 20th Century extension at the rear. Food is typical pub fare and is always good value for money. The pub sits in the centre of the village just a few minutes' drive from the Southampton Road. The interior is characterised by oak furniture, wooden floors and the log fire, whiel the welcome is warm and friendly. I had a pint of Hoppy Hare, perfectly kept and serve at the optimum temperature. Well worth the trip out from Salisbury to find for food and a pint.
