Poorly modernized elongated L shaped place with painted plank panelling in neutral shades and a general feeling of DIY SOS on a budget. Better out the back, where there’s a long, green and well-utilized rear garden overlooking the water. Three ales on and not the most exciting line-up of Sharps Doom Bar, Atlantic and Ringwood Boondoggle; however the quality was good (the Atlantic was excellent and the Boondoggle good) and they were served-up by a friendly barmaid. So a mixed bag - worth a crawl stop.

A very elongated L-shape with the bar in the front corner, boarded floor, beamed ceiling, a piano is tucked into a front recess between the wall and the entrance lobby. The long return steps up now and again and ends up with doors to a spacious and pleasant garden looking onto the river. The bar gantry has a montage of bottles, glasses and so on and there are the usual framed prints of this and that.
There are actually four handpumps but not obviously so on entering, firstly you see two, hosting Sharp's Cornish Coaster and the ever present Doom Bar but to the side of the bar there are another pair, on this occasion having Stonehenge Pigswill and I assume a rebadged Wadworth's George and the Dragon. They do food, mains around a tenner not including steaks, sandwiches for £3.95.
A pair of TVs were showing athletics muted, music from a tolerable level jukebox on my lunchtime visit.
A perfectly acceptable spot for a pint or two off the tourist trail with chatty and friendly locals.

A basic boozer, dogleg shaped inside,sky news was on the tv it also boasts a jukebox, there's a long beer garden to the rear.Only two beers on Sharps Cornish Coaster and Red Cat Prowler Pale.
