A Wadworth's pub with little to suggest it's going to be exceptional, but we were pleasantly surprised by our late night visit. It wasn't busy, so the Canadian landlady took time to chat with us and made us very welcome. Only 2 ales on, 6X and Henry's, both in very good condition. Well worth the visit and i'd be happy to come back again, possibly to include on a crawl, and I'd like to try the food next time.

Popped in this Wadworth pub as we heard they had a guest beer from IOW and we enjoyed Yates Islander. It was a quick visit so we didn't get to see round the pub.

Taken over in 2017 by the former Wadworth tenant at the Eldon Arms in Reading, which made the local branch Pub of the Year shortlist the previous year. Things looking up here now, with a better quality Wadworth available this visit. Parts of the interior could do with a bit of brightening-up though.

Knocked-about Wadworth pub and unfortunately a bit too much has been lost across the multiple properties it straddles, though the wonky ceiling and floor-to-ceiling support timbers remain – mind you, so does woodchip wallpaper. Unlit fire, not great on a cold and dank evening. Four ales on with three Waddies - 6X, IPA, Horizon – plus a guest in Castle Rock Elsie Mo which was a pretty underwhelming experience and I rather got the feeling that it wasn’t selling. It’s the closest pub to the train station and could be worse. Rated 5
