Sadly, not much going on in here on a Saturday night. A terraced old school boozer - Wadworths house. The 6x was in average condition.
AI saying it was the best pub in Marlborough. Akin to the best horse at the glue factory.

Wadworth house and we enjoyed their 6x and Horizon beer. IPA also available. Lovely multi roomed pub with a good atmosphere on the main street.

Traditional terraced Georgian building. On entering the tatty front bar is little to write home about, bar the child-like wall mural referencing the 1653 Shambles fire. Quite a town centre ambience in here, mainly male clientèle. Bit more character if you explore; extra rooms to the rear down a few steps, one a games room (pool), lounge snug and a characterful beamed room with another child-like set of wall murals depicting various medieval characters on a red background. Beyond lies a surprisingly large patio and grass garden area. Four ales, three Wadworth and Kite Bluestone Bitter (which was a little warm but otherwise in good nick). Classic rock music the aural order of the day. Accommodation available. Worth a look.
