Village pub that had either not opened at all for my Friday lunchtime visit, or had closed earlier than expected. I returned later in the evening when the pub had re-opened and found a very busy bar with a group of rather ignorant bar blockers who didn't respond to "excuse me", necessitating a bit of pushing and shoving on my part to get to the bar and then back to a table!
This is a Wadworth pub with just 6X & Henry's IPA served by gravity from casks behind the bar. Food is supposedly served, but I saw no sign of this. Gents toilets can be found in a rather strange location, in an outbuilding to the front of the pub. They are not particularly easy to located when it is dark.
Not a bad little pub, but with a fairly poor beer selection and one where they open and close whenever they feel like it.
