Two room basic locals pub run by Wadworth. Everyone was sat in the right-hand side with a couple of them playing crib and it was a friendly crowd. Three clipped pumps over four but only were two on as the clipped Swordfish is actually bottle only. My Henry's IPA was muted and lacked a bit of clarity (NBSS 2). I'll leave this to the locals next time I think.

An impressive Georgian townhouse on the high street, but inside there are no airs or graces, and it’s a busy, bustling local with a varied demographic. The locals are certainly welcoming, though the one that bullied me into playing pool wasn’t that bright – or that sober – or that good at pool. There is a large garden at the back and plenty of parking, also behind the pub. Two bars, a public bar on one side with the aforementioned pool table, and a saloon area the other. There were TVs showing live sports, and the fans were quite vocal. Food is only available lunchtimes, so we had to eat elsewhere. Two ales on from Wadworth’s, 6X and Henry’s, both in good condition. Worth dropping in if you can stand the noise.
