Reasonable hotel bar in an imposing building, the décor is half 18th century elegance, half modern bar. Usual kegs plus two handpumps, one serving Bath Gem which was a bit on the thick side for my tastes, the other not in use. A mixture of comfy sofas, chairs and tables, and low tables with stools in several drinking areas. Large screens for sport and some games machines to entertain the younger customers. Sadly undertrained barstaff also available here.

Excellent Hospitality, Lovely clean rooms and great food. Stayed two nights loved it and enjoyed a choice of cask and bottled ales. The Pub Dog -PD yes that's his name, is a star (sse picture. If your ever in Chippenham I'd recommend you pay a visit
