This really is a local country/village pub. It is not reliant on the masses arriving for food with it's L shape building/bar it's a mixture of tables and chairs with some sofas with a pool table to the back. Has a couple of hand pumps although I forgot to see what they were serving. Very cosy feel as it's a mixture of brasses, animal pictures (lots of dogs, especially the pub dog) and coats of arms decorating the walls of the pub. The date on the fire place dates it to 1774 so is well established. Has chosen not to diversify with food for inside eating but does offer delivery pizzas, assume you could collect if you fancy a pint while waiting.
