Flat roof estate pub. Dark and gloomy inside with terrible spot lights and a COVID era painting-over with a dark green/blue colour making the atmosphere mildly oppressive on a dark grey afternoon. The fake beams offered some light relief. Pool table, darts and pub dog. Two cask, both Wadworth; my 6X was a bit over-vented but fairly drinkable (NBSS 2.5) and had to tell the barmaid what my change should be as the till failed and she couldn’t count. A lively atmosphere and well-used on a rainy Saturday afternoon, so fair play. 5.5
