A nice old stone-built pub, with a couple of large rooms arranged awkwardly off a central bar area. It's all very oak beams and bric-a-brac, perhaps more upmarket than rustic but still with considerable charm. More of a pub for eating than drinking, with just Theakstons Best on handpump but in fair condition and it is not an unpleasant place at all. There is a large tabled lawn to the rear. The food looked ok.
