A nice looking pub on the market place, but on a market day it's hemmed in by market stalls. Once inside it is set out with dining tables near the front, but the bar counter stretches towards the rear where it is more pub-like, with a pool table at the back. Three hand pumps are spaced out along the bar, with Landlord near the front and Golden Best sharing the pair towards the back with Theakston Best Bitter. The Landlord would have been ok if the glass hadn't been warm from the washer, which is pretty sloppy service.

The Black Bull is a nice looking stone built pub that had some nice hanging baskets outside om my visit.
Once inside the bar faces in a single L shaped room which is carpeted, the seating is bench type and small stools to the front, the left side runs to the rear where there are normal tables and chairs, plus a few tall tables and chairs, there is a pool table to the rear.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Copper Dragon Golden Pippin which went down well, the other beers were Taylor Landlord,John Smiths Cask and Doom Bar.
There were TVs which were showing horse racing and decent looking food was being served.
I thought this was a decent pub to have a drink in.

Old Boots left this review about Black Bull Inn
Old pub with a nice exterior hiding in the triangular portion of Wetherby's Market Place, it is mainly a long thinnish room with a broad bar room across the front. Laid out with separate tables for four in a mix of styles, lunchtime trade appears to be older diners, I suspect the evenings will attract a much younger clientele eager to use the pool table. The service was of the modern “are you ok?” type. Four handpumps among the keg founts on the long barcounter serving quite poor Black Sheep Bitter, Taylors Landlord and John Smiths Cask.
