Old Boots left this review about The Unicorn Inn
Surprisingly rural setting in the village of Carlton which retains some older houses but in-filled with modern tat. The pub is old on the outside but very modernised inside perhaps reflecting the village as a whole. There’s a main bar across the front with the counter to the right and higher seating with a pair of large TV screens to the left. Behind is a smaller bar called The Snug which is more traditional. Screens are everywhere and there’s constant music. Two pulls in the snug but just Taylor’s Landlord on, it ran off when I ordered, everyone else was on Guinness or Lager so maybe not a bad thing. The barman went downstairs to put on a new cask but found problems in the cellar equipment so it was a long wait for what turned out to be an average pint.
