A stone built pub at right angles to the main road, a two bar setup reached via an entrance porch. Left wards is a long thin lounge, to the right an odd shaped room. A U shaped servery serves both bars. Two pulls on the left and three in the right hand bar, Black Sheep Best and Landlord on in the right and a Taylors and something else in the left; as there was a private function on in the left bar, probably a wake, I could only see the back of the clips. Two T-bars serve a selection of national brands. The odd right hand room is on two floor levels, banquette in one part and tables and chairs in the other. Largely set up as a dining pub by the looks of it.

The Britannia is a decent looking stone built pub which is set sideways onto the road.
Once inside i had a drink in a smallish bar room which was carpeted, the seating is leather bucket chairs, there is a darts board in this room, there is a large square shaped dining room to the rear which had all tables laid out, there is another room to the front right which is down a few steps, this room is also set for diners, there were none in any of these two room during my lat Saturday afternoon visit.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Leeds Pale which was a nice drink, the other beer was John Smiths Cask.
Background music was playing.
This is a decent smart pub where drinkers can have a drink without being bothered by people having meals near them.
