A good looking traditional pub on the outside, inside only one for connoisseurs of the rough pub and believe me this is a rough one. Fighting my way past the feral kids blocking the doorway I had a choice of lounge or public on the right, the lounge was labelled the Bert & Hannah Jenkins VIP Lounge, so I went with the public to be met by a dancing couple of drunks, at least it was one of each gender not two chaps as usual. The barmaid was distracted dealing with a few dodgy punters but eventually I got a half, not the one I ordered but I wasn’t arguing. Most of the rough pub boxes were ticked, dodgy smell, feral kids wandering in and out, fat women with prams, tough looking blokes, eccentric punters, a range of down market kegs at bargain prices, tatty plastic banquette seating; however no bald blokes in vests squaring up to each other alas. I am being harsh, the locals like it and it’s handy for the bus station.

Absolute waste of space. What a dump. Keg only and the dregs of society. Avoid.
